The Impact Of  Oral Pain Among Older Adult MOW Participants In NYC

Investigator: Kavita P. Ahluwalia, DDS, MPH; Associate Professor of Clinical Dental Medicine, Columbia University, College of Dental Medicine

The purpose of this study is to design and implement  interventions to improve the delivery of daily/self oral care for community-dwelling older adults through the systems and structures of homecare agencies. There is a possibility that oral pain may impact the ability to eat among older adults. This study will also examine and identify practical solutions to mitigating morbidity and symptomology (oral pain, dysfunction and ability to eat) secondary to dental diseases, through the structures of a service delivery
