Background
On September 30, 2009, The National Institute on Aging funded TRIPLL for 5 years. It is one of 12 Edward R. Roybal Centers for Translational Research on Aging funded nationwide. The purpose of the Centers is to support research activities that lead to programs, policies or practices that lead to improved health and wellbeing of older Americans. TRIPLL builds on the work of the Cornell Institute for Translational Research on Aging (CITRA, www.citra.org), a Cornell Roybal Center, founded in 1993.
