Self-management of chronic pain often involves monitoring symptoms, adhering to medication regimens, and improving health behaviors, all of which occur in a social context. Dr. Martire will review the existing evidence supporting behavioral pain interventions that target a close family member as well as the pain sufferer, summarize key knowledge gaps in this area, and describe opportunities for future research
