Kristin Hon is a rising senior at Wellesley College studying physics with an interdisciplinary in biological sciences. Her interest in geriatrics stems from working with residents in the Alzheimer’s/Dementia unit as a Therapeutic Recreation leader at the Parker Jewish Institute. Her experiences supporting her grandparents and residents during critical periods of their care shaped her desire to amplify patient voice and improve patient outcomes. Kristin worked on research studies focusing on autobiographical memory and psychological distance. Dedicated to developing a sense of belonging in the physics and pre-health communities, Kristin is the vice president of the Society of Physics Students and co-president of the Hippocratic Society. In the future, she aspires to pursue a career in geriatric medicine and is passionate about delivering quality evidence-based and adaptive palliative care to the aging population. During her free time, Kristin enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, experimenting with graphic design, and teaching others about physics.
